how do i have a successful garage sale?
Hey guys having an old fashion garage sale this weekend cos we’re moving across the country and don’t want to take anything except a few clothes. I’ve advertised in the paper, put signs on notice boards etc. Any suggestions to make it a successful weekend? Thanks.
what are yard apes and porch monkeys?
Have some of the nicest bigger things out front so people doing drive-by’s will stop. We don’t stop if it doesn’t look good from the road. Also put prices on everything, when you are busy with someone else I don’t want to interrupt to ask how much. (If things don’t sell at that price start marking them down or tell people you are willing to bargain). I can’t find your house if you don’t have signs (balloons are good too). Remember you don’t want to have to put all this stuff away, price accordingly. Display things nicely, I’m not digging thru dirty boxes. I love garage sales! Have lots of different cash for giving change. It is way easier with at least two people, sometimes you just have to go to the bathroom! Have fun!
